由我国著名的病毒学专家,中国医学科学院、北京协和医学院前院校长顾方舟教授创建,曾完成中国脊髓灰质炎病毒疫苗的研制和生产,为预防和控制这一重要传染病作出了杰出贡献。现在该课题组在刘力教授的领导下承担了诸多国家级科研项目,在病毒的RNA调控、病毒的先天免疫作用机制及细胞受体介导的免疫治疗上形成自身的研究特色。此外,在受体型新基因功能研究上开展了一系列前沿性的研究探索,为自主基因药物的开发与自主性动物疾病模型的建立与应用奠定重要基础。

    美国康奈尔大学威尔医学院微生物学博士后,南开大学微生物学理学博士,美国依阿华大学免疫生物学硕士,首都医学院(现首都医科大学)医学学士。1998年5月回国任中国医学科学院基础医学研究所病原生物学系任副研究员。2005年9月获卫生部正高级职称资格。2001年1月至2007年7月,清华大学生物系基因组研究所,兼职副教授(曾任博士研究生副指导教师)。2008年9月聘为中国医学科学院基础医学研究所研究员,2010年博士生导师。在Cancer Research, Molecular Cell Biology, Virology等国际学术期刊发表研究论文24篇,其中第一及通讯作者20篇。

主要研究方向
① 病毒的RNA调控:研究包括小RNA分子,如干扰型RNA(siRNA)和微小RNA(miRNA),的认定及功能检测;转录后期多聚腺苷酸poly(A)位点的选择性调控等等。
② 病毒的先天免疫调控作用机制:病毒编码基因诱导I型干扰素的表达的作用机制,病毒基因与模式识别受体的相互作用及其感知蛋白的认定等等。
③ NOK激酶介导的肿瘤信号通路及肿瘤代谢:NOK对细胞内增殖信号通路的影响及其调控;NOK与信号分子间的相互作用、对信号分子的修饰;NOK诱导肿瘤与细胞代谢间的关系,NOK影响细胞代谢的主要作用机制及对代谢分子的调控等。
