An academic exchange sponsored and organized by the Ministry of Education was conducted between the post-doctors lecturing team named as “back to China” and the Institute on Sep. 13. 2007.
The Academic meeting was presided over by Prof. Zhu Dahai, Vice-president of the Institute. Director Xu Peixiang of Returing Home Office, Department of International Co-operation and Exchange of Ministry of Education introduced the purpose and background of this activity. On behalf of the staff members and students, Prof. Shen Yan, Director of the institute extended his warm welcome to all the team members and each of the eight post-doctors had made a short speech respectively. After the lectures, professors Shen Yan and Zhu Dahai gave a brief introduction concerning the history and development of the institute, and followed by an informal discussion between the post-doctors and teachers of the institute.

This meeting provided not only a chance for the oversea scholars to show their achievements in different special fields, but also an opportunity to realize the current situation and development of certain research and education institutions at home which promotes further the communication between the oversea scholars and the local academic institutions as well as to consolidate the bridge and platform for their coming back and working at home in the near future.
