Chinese Burden of Disease Research and Dissemination Center was established in 2013, supported by China Medical Board(CMB). Mission of the center includes conducting study on burden of diseases (BD), providing explanation on the impact factors of BD of Chinese population, evaluating the effect of policy implementation, promoting and expanding the usage of the methodology of BD, supporting the measure and assessment of population health status as well as BD in sub-regions of China and testing the effects of certain public health and medical reform policies, eventually improving local public health. Shenzhen and Weifang Base of the Center were established in 2018 and 2021, respectively. At the same time, the center serves as Research Center for Chronic Diseases and Behavior Risk Factors, and China Collaboration Center for the Institute of Global Tobacco Control of Johns Hopkins University.
