Biomedical Big Data Research Center of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences

Biomedical Big Data Research Center of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences focuses on the collection, management, standardization, integration analysis, mining, visualization and transformation of biomedical big data. We engage in exploratory research on technical issues and major application issues of biomedical big data.


Our center intends to construct seven sections, includinf disease sample data sharing platform, laboratory information management system LIMS, second generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis platform, disease knowledge base system and omniscience auxiliary diagnosis system based on drugs Drug monitoring platform for information and clinical big data information. At present, we have completed the laboratory information management system LIMS, the second generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis platform, and the grorp-assisted diagnosis system.


1. LIMS (laboratory information management system) is a computer software and hardware system that manages the laboratory in a comprehensive manner by using computer network technology, data storage technology and fast data processing technology.

2. The second generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis platform can meet the actual research needs of NGS data analysis. We purchase and develop CLC, IPA, HGMD medical cloud, TRANSFAC and other industry solutions and knowledge databses, building data centers in phases. Additionally, a biomedical genome big data analysis and mining platform were initially constructed.

3. To help users find out the key disease-related sites from massive variability, we developed a omniscience-assisted diagnostic system. Based on the construction of our center, we have achieved the following scientific research results.


Major infectious disease surveillance, traceability and host immunity studies based on multi-omics data

1) Having Completed the dynamic changes of the genetic diversity of H7N9 avian influenza virus.
2) Having constructed the phylogenetic tree partitioning based on branch separation degree.
3) Having Built a database of influenza virus reassortment events FluReassort .
4) Systematic bioloqy studies on the interaction between influenza virus and host.


Research on tumor immune microenvironment based on multi-omics data

1) Construction of a computing model based on the RNA-Seg data platform Seg- lmmuCC
2) Construction of a tissue-specific immune cell component calculation model based on scRNA -Seg data (tissue- ImmuCC ).
